The Three Doshas in Ayurveda - Simply Explained

The Tridosha (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) of Ayurveda are powers of nature. These are the working principles that allow us to learn more about ourselves and the world. - They possess curly or unmanageable hair.
- They are blessed with a high metabolism, and food is digested fast. Therefore, they should be fed rather frequently.
- They are in their alert state of mind.
What is Pitta Dosha?
Pitta dosha is the basis of fire and water. This dosha is hot, light, sharp, fluid, oily and mobile in nature. The hot and sunny days, which are typical of Summer usually related to Pitta. Every person has a unique Ayurveda dosha combination. It influences the digestive system, skin and complexion, body temperature and metabolism.

Features of Pitta Dosha
Pitta dosha has the following major features:-
- A common type of Pitta dosha is medium.
- Their weight is properly assembled, but it could vary quite often and reflect their dieting habits and lifestyles.
- They are sharp intellectuals and can be mostly referred to as perfectionists.
- They are result-oriented and have the traits of a leader.
- They are prone to being critical and temperamental as a result of their nature when things are not going their way.
- They have an inner peace and happiness as well as radiant, glowing skin.

What is Kapha Dosha?
The Ayurvedic element is Kapha dosha, which is related to water and earth. Kapha is slow, moist, cool, solid, smooth, oily and constant in nature. Features of Kapha Dosha
The main peculiarities of Kapha Dosha are the following:-
- The Kapha dosha type is bigger in size, comes with a powerful, strong body frame, and has a slow metabolism.
- They are prone to weight gain, and they can lose weight fast.
- They are sharp-brained, but because of their logical and practical minds, they do not learn quickly, but they do not forget easily.
- They get on well with people because of their composed characters, and they are grounded.
- They also do not usually have problems with their temper, and even when they are provoked, they are easy to appease. They are hard-working and reliable.
Art of Balance: Harmonising Your Doshas
Ayurveda can provide you with the means of restoring balance to all your imbalances once you know your dosha and any vikriti (current imbalances) and use daily habits, food, herbs, and mindfulness to bring the body back to balance.
1. Balancing Vata
Since Vata is cold, dry and mobile, balance it with warmth, regularity and nourishment. Take warm and humid as well as cooked meals, such as khichdi, dal, or roti that have been made in ghee. It is harmful to consume raw, cold foods and excessive screen time. Routine, early bedtime, and healthy yoga and oil massage (abhyanga) with sesame oil.
2. Balancing Pitta
Because Pitta is hot and sharp, cool it using the cooling foods such as sweet fruits, coconut water, cucumbers and leafy greens. Choose foods with no spices; sour and fried foods should be avoided. Meditate, avoid direct sun in the hottest time of the day, and do other relaxing exercises, such as a stroll beside the river or reading in the shade. 3. Balancing Kapha
