What is Dance Pose Yoga? Procedure, Benefits and Contradictions

The yoga dancing pose is also known as Natarajasana. It is a very good pose for stretching the body and helps in maintaining the balance of the body. The name of this pose originates from the scripture of lord shiva. The dancing Shiva is known as Nataraja, who is holding a balance on one leg with one hand parallel to the floor.

How to do the Dancing Pose Yoga?
The dancing yoga pose is not a tough pose for daily practitioners, but beginners may find it hard to balance all their weight on one leg in a curved position. Lord Shiva is known as the cosmic dancer in his supreme form; he is also known for knowledge, harmony, stability, balance, and flow of life in a neutral way.
All those terms are also denoted by this pose, which means a person doing it daily will experience harmony and balance in their life. Now, here is a step-wise procedure for performing this pose:

- Start from the Tadasana Position, in which you have to stand and observe your breath for some time.
- Now slowly shift your weight to the left side, and balance your right foot near to buttocks.
- Now hold the right ankle with the hand of the same side.
- After this step, stretch out your right arm forward and keep yourself in balance in this position.
- With exhalation, push up your buttocks to a high position in the curved position and stretch in a better way.
- With an open chest, gaze forward and remain in this position for 15 to 30 seconds.
Benefits of the Pose of Dancers or Natrajasana
There are many benefits of the dancer's pose, or Natrajasana. Especially when it is about increasing the flexibility of the body. The yoga dancer's pose is best for an equilibrium position; also, there are some contraindications for the same, which we will mention later.

Are there Any Contraindications of the Dancing Pose?
The term ‘contraindications’ is not for the yoga poses; the safer word is precautions. There are precautions while practising yoga, and there is no disadvantage of poses. While practising poses you have to take safety moves otherwise they may cause injury, also breath coordination is necessary. Dancing pose gives flexiblity but not recommended in every condition.

- This is not recommended for the pregnant women and girls in periods.
- Start with preparatory pose if you have fear of imbalance.
- If there is injury of leg, hamstring, pelvic, shoulder or elbow then don’t perform this pose.
- Practice this pose while you are empty stomach.
- In case of spondiyolitis and balancing issues don’t perform this pose.
- Ear problem issues are also something that can disturb this pose.
- Nervous disorrder and uncontrolled movement diseases can also be a problmetic situation for this pose.
